Baby Items We Accept

  • Please remember that our clients are coming out of very hard times; items with rips, stains, tears, peeling paint, or animal shredding are just not accepted. Please donate only CLEAN items!
  • A simple acceptance test: if the item were not “excess”, would you continue to use it yourself?
  • We CANNOT ACCEPT Bathtubs, baby sipper cups (used),Bicycles seats,Hiking baby back packs, Jump seats;Swings -hanging or on stands, Walkers, baby swings or playpens.

Acceptable Condition - What to look out for

Bed rails and safety gates

  • All parts must work
  • No rips or breaks - no accordian gates
  • Must be clean
  • Must include all required hardware
Bed, Toddler
  • please include all hardware
  • no broken parts, please

Booster seats (for sitting at table)

  • Must be clean
  • No seats that attach to the table
  • No breaks or cracks
  • Include all safety straps

Car booster seats

  • Must be 2004 or later
  • Items purchased 2006 and after will include tag indicating use date
  • Must be clean
  • Keep car seat and base together
  • Include instructions if possible

Car seats

  • Must be 2004 or later - must see expiration date on seat - this is strictly followed!
  • Items purchased 2006 and after will include tag indicating use date
  • Must be clean
  • Keep car seat and base together, include all straps and pieces.
  • Include instructions if possible

Carriages/Strollers

  • Must be clean - 5 years or newer please
  • Must have padding; no rips or tears in the padding
  • Opens and closes easily
  • No broken or missing parts

Changing tables and pads

  • Must be sturdy
  • Must include pad; no splits or rips in the pad
  • No broken parts
  • Must include safety belt
Crib linens
  • We need clean sheets, bumper sets, bath towels etc.

Crib mattresses

  • Must be clean
  • No rips or tears in the fabric
  • Must fit snugly to all sides of crib

Cribs

  • Must pass the “coke can” test – a 12-oz soda can held vertically must NOT be able to pass through the rails of the crib
  • Securely attach all hardware (we do not have any hardware)
  • No broken parts - we do ask for any crib hardware for general crib repair

High chairs

  • Seat must be padded; no splits or rips in the pad
  • Opens and closes easily
  • Has a tray that fits securely
  • No broken parts- Include all hardware
  • Must be CLEAN.

Port-a-cribs

  • Must be clean
  • Must have padding; no rips or tears in the padding
  • Opens and closes easily
  • No broken or missing parts
  • If rails – must pass the “coke can” test as for cribs

Toilet training seats

  • Must be clean
  • Include all parts
  • No splits or breaks
