Donate to HGRMOur primary mission is to collect, warehouse, and distribute household goods to the needy at no charge throught the efforts of over 100 volunteers. We also gratefully accept cash and other donations to help with our many expenses. HGRM, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable corporation. All donations to our organization are tax deductible. We provide you with an itemized receipt of your donations for tax purposes. We do not place a value on donated items. Donate GoodsHousehold Goods Recycling of Massachusetts (HGRM) needs donations of clean, usable furniture and household items for individuals and families in need. More than 250 households receive the essential items they need for their apartments each month. When considering what to donate, please remember that our clients are often coming out of hard times. Items should be currently serviceable and in a gently used condition that you yourself would use if they were not excess. We do not accept clothing or food. In general, we need household items that can be used by a family living in a small apartment. HGRM is here to serve the needs of our clients, not to be a trash or recycling service for unwanted items that can't be used by people in need. Keeping that in mind will help HGRM stick to its mission! Our most needed items are the essentials for daily living:

We thank you in advance for your support in helping us help our community! If we do not accept your item(s), please consider donating to another organization. Donation Drop-Off Since we are staffed mainly by volunteers, we encourage donors to bring items to us if at all possible. Our donation drop-off hours for items we accept (in good condition) are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 9am-noon. We are located at 530 Main St. in Acton, MA (directions and map). Please call or email us if you are unsure of items that we will accept. Donation Pick-Up (for furniture and appliances) If you need to schedule a pick-up, you must have at least one essential furniture or appliance item. For pickups, essential items are defined as bed frames, mattresses, box springs, dressers and bureaus, kitchen/DR tables, sofas, and large appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators). We do have limited pickup service for a $25 fee (this covers our gas and insurance for our truck). We pick up furniture and large appliances in Acton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, Sudbury, Harvard and Westford. We will also consider full households outside our pickup area. We schedule pickups on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from 9a - noon. If you are outside of these areas, consider dropping items off to our warehouse, or to another organization.
